Cjsmiles945 Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Hello there, I'm new to this site and not quite sure what I'm doing. Anyhow, I'm currently studying Shamanism at open alternative college. I'm on lesson three in my course and I've a few questions I wanted to ask from someone who is knowledgeable in Shamanism. So lesson three talks about Shamans communicating with spirits and may even marry an entity from others planes. I've never heard this concept before, I found it strange and wanted to no more about it? So please feel free to open my eyes to understanding this better. Also the tripartite unity (Upper, Lower and earth planes) need to be connected in order for a shaman to travel... please can someone explain more about this. The information I have to hand is very basic so I would really appreciate any input. Lastly, Traditional shamanic cultures believe that at one time we could all talk freely with animals. However, the fall of mankind was the end of this communication. What was the fall of mankind? How did this happen and what does it mean. These essays are evoking more questions than answers! Alex Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 I know in the pagan community there are some individuals who get married to gods/archetypes. They do it with the purpose of developing a closer relationship the the entity for the same variety of reasons that people on Earth get married. It's just like another person kind of thing. Haven't encountered that here at the cave though. Quote
Belle Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Hi Cj, Welcome. Am not be a knowledgeable shaman perhaps coz like you am still currently learning shamanism. Though so far I've seen and experienced quite a bit so I will try to answer some of your questions. I haven't heard the terms tripartite unity though it might be similar to three different dimensions or planes of existence. For normal humans our conscious awareness is pretty much anchor on the physical or earth plane and we navigate our awareness pretty much based on five senses. The way we live our lives usually an interplay with our emotions and thinking mind, most often our experiences are by product of our unconscious intent. Almost all the inventory we made relates to this plane of existence, the highs and lows, the confusion, the aches and pain, the pleasure from external things and to top it all, our identity is born. This dimension where we can see only as individual, we can hardly see here our common shared humanity and of course all creatures on earth. Living in this dimension is pretty much controlled by mind using emotion to create the experience. The second dimension is an expanded version of the first, here our identity is no longer confined with our ego, there is a test of freedom here, we are no longer fooled by our identity and we can choose our experience here based on our intent. We can separate here more or less what is real and what is not, what is the need for the flesh and what is the need for your soul. Begin to see others as being equal and respect to all creatures. You start to learn here detachment. This is the start of living consciously, compassionately, forgiving and start to let go of need for gratification derived from material possessions and success. In this dimension, humans are quite operating their conscious awareness from the heart or core. Its not a complete transcendence yet but enough that you can travel to the next dimension. So the 3rd dimension is the totality, I don't know if any humans can sustain in this state every minute of the day, this is pretty big as if the universe is you, you are one with everything. I guess here you are totally free from ego or illusions, you are living the truth, there is nothing can blind your eyes, you completely know. I suspect that you can be everywhere and everything here, there is complete freedom, there is no fear here because you can't perceive anything outside of yourself. This is complete union. There is another way of putting these three together but I prefer to do it that way because I believe that what we all humans need to know. I want to be practical, talking to things that one can relate on how they should live their lives peacefully and harmoniously. And yes, these are three stages or level that one must climb in order to travel the different dimensions. Some people use drugs or plants in order to experience those higher dimensions, but the problem with that is we need to master our conscious awareness in each of different stages so real transformation can take place. About the fall of mankind simply means that our awareness to the deepest truth of who we are is lost. You may heard that everything is energy/spirit. This spirit is complete, unified, self encompassing, powerful, full of potential; that is who we are, that is our nature. All of us and all the created ones are the spark of this energy, we explore and seek out using our power to create. I would like to say that the Source is playing Its power and consciousness is the mirror to know itself. However due to passing of times and the evolution, human consciousness slowly lost contact with the Source. This is where we rely our thinking mind to navigate through life. The fall of human kind can also be called the 'separation' or descent of men. We perceived ourselves as separate and that is the root of our fear. I hope this somehow help you by any means. Cjsmiles945 Posted June 4, 2019 Author Posted June 4, 2019 Hello Belle, First let me start by saying thank you for taking the time to respond to my message. It was Kind of you and I see you live at the other side of the world in Sydney. Wow so far away hey! I found what you wrote very interesting and its good to know someone else's perspective on my questions. The part you wrote about separation from source stands out to me because I think in some way we are all lost, however more so without spirit and guidance in our lives. Having that connection to me is my light and a path I hope to follow throughout my life. The part about the three dimensions in my journal given from college relates to the upper, lower. worlds and earth the planes. However I see you have related it to self, to the individual's experience with ego and letting go? Which is a thought provoking way of looking at the tripartite unity but I'm not sure I can answer the essay question this way. But hey... a big thank you for sharing your thoughts. I'm grateful! May I ask how you came across shamanism? How you incorporate it into your life? What you love or dislike about it? Kind Regards Cj Quote
Belle Posted June 5, 2019 Posted June 5, 2019 Hi Cj, I did really intent to not answer your quesion direcly because a)its pretty hard to conceptualize it and b) its an essay, so when I personally write an essay it is as if I am standing of knowing what I am talking about, like I have complete and clear position of the topic. And since those question you ask is very deep and vast, let alone hard to put into words. That is why, I tried to answer it through the edges. And also as I've said, there are many ways to talk about it, but unless one already experience it, it would be hard to understand. So I will not steal your own thunder to explore on that experiencially. So how I came accross shamanism? well would you believe I haven't heard shamanism until I stumble this shamanscave website for the first time. I was actually looking for any writing or any blog abount intent and will, then when I searched on google at the top of the list, there was link to here about intent the path to seer, so I begun to browse the website, read some of Niteshad writings and pretty interested about it then signed up for spiral class which was about to start in few days time. And that's the start and I keep signing every classes on offer every session... so now I'm finishing tier 3 and started few tier 4 classes. How do I incorporate it into my life? good question. Before I came here, I was a pretty hard core religious person and its typical me to ''act'' on what I know of. If the bible says, love one another and then I found myself becoming an agry person, I pause and reflect what is happening to me. So anyhow it was the quest for answer of what hindering me to act and live how I suppose to live. It was a series of explorations that led me to here and am still here for the reason that I found what I've been searching. Here in the cave we don't write an essay, we experience and work direcly with energy. We do emphasize self healing because its only then we can move forward to be able to see, act and move. The normal people have shielded themselves to onslaught of whatever the world throw at them just by occupying their minds with temporary stuff but for us, we take the challenges because we already know and living from that knowing is not easy, to see and act requires courage, inner strenght and humility. There is no turning back for us we have to live and act upon as a conduit for spirit while manifesting as humans. I would say, the start of this journey was quite painful but with perseverance we eventually reap the harvest of our hard earn labor, living consciously, intently, willfully and help heal the world And in this respect where my love for this journey/shamanism rooted from. There is no single moment that I had regretted that I came here, my enthusiasm when I first came here never ever faded, it as if everyday has something in store for me. And I guess the most important aspect one would take is having an unwavering enjoyment in the process. Without it, the journey would be so dull and daunting, so I love this work and will continue loving it.. never I dislike it.. Belle Quote
