Here is a short irc tutorial, you can use this if kiwi is having a day off, this is mainly for owners of ipads and iphones but you can certainly do this on a computer too using a program like mIRC or Hexchat. If others are using android and have a solution please feel free to post.

First get the "Limechat" app from your app repository then open it and click on "new" to add the server, add the info (check picture underneath) the important one is the server name, for nickname use what name you want to appear when you log on then you can also choose "connect on launch" if you want to set it up for shamanscave automatically. The second picture is for signing up to a channel just type /join #nameofchannel and "enter", you should be good to go.
