About Mark Hanson
In 1990 I had a dream that shook me to my core. I dreamed death was stalking me. In fact, it had caught me and although I tried to fend it off by grabbing it by its throat, it was relentless and kept on coming. I awoke screaming and didn’t sleep well for the next three or four nights.
My dreaming life had always been an important part of my life. I gained many insights into my daily life and sometimes had dreams that foretold the future. This dream, however, was different. It caused me to really look at who I was and how I was living my life. Furthermore, I didn’t like what I saw.
So, I started searching for answers, mostly in books. I read about science, especially quantum mechanics and chaos theory. When that didn’t satisfy me, I turned to Buddhism and meditation. This certainly felt closer to what I was looking for. But, I knew there was “more” out there.
When I stumbled upon shamanism and eventually taking classes at the “cave”, I felt like had come home. I enjoy the active participation in my continually evolving spiraling life.
I am a Maker.
I am a healer.
I am a dreamer.
I am a man who longs to understand the complexities of my, of our, existence here on this small rock hurling through space. I intend to expand my consciousness, my awareness, my perception, and my dreaming to such an extent that I will experience enlightenment in this lifetime.
I have become intimate with the energy of the four elements; fire, water, earth, and air; and work with them for a variety of reasons.
I am a seeker of knowledge and power. I journey and dream into other worlds, both while sleeping and while awake, to understand who I am and who I am not. I use this information and power to help myself and others.
I work with energy in all its forms to heal, to learn, to grow.
